My dear sisters and brothers,
As we celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, we come to the close of the Liturgical year and we will soon be entering into the joyful season of Advent where we await for the annual celebration of Jesus' birthday.
Advent is a time of preparation, but not just our clothes, deciding the Christmas menu or painting our houses, but rather it is a reminder of the first coming of Jesus, and a sign to prepare our hearts and minds for His second coming.
One of the ways you can internally prepare for this grand celebration is by going on a spiritual diet; a diet for the soul. I encourage you to take each Sunday's readings, until Christmas, reflect upon it and listen to what God is trying to tell you.
Besides this, I also encourage you to make a good confession and clean your heart and mind. Do not forget about the poor in your communities and those who have lost a loved one during this year; reach out by sharing the Christmas spirit with them by gifting them a Christmas hamper of some food materials and clothes or whatever you can give, and visiting them. It will bring them great joy.
I want you to be assured of my spiritual accompaniment during this joyful season and be assured of my prayers for all of you.
May your preparation draw you closer to the heart of God.
