St. Joseph Church, Bhedshi, celebrated the feast of Holy Family with children. The main celebrant for the Eucharist was Fr Alex D’Mello, Director of Sindhudurg Diocese Family Commission, along with Fr Simon Andrade, the parish priest.
At the Mass, Fr Alex encouraged the children to honour and respect their parents and elders. He also exhorted the parents to realise the importance to express their love by spending more time with their children, instead of only presenting them with expensive gifts.
After the Mass, the children then proceeded to Dodamarg Taluka for a day-long picnic filled with fun and games. They were guided by the Holy Spirit nuns. At the picnic, the children and youth present decided to organise a sports day on 1 January 2020.
St Joseph Church, Bhedshi, is a rural Church that comprises 150 families, who have been displaced due to the development of a huge irrigation project.
