On 20 June 2020, the Sindhudurg Diocesan Developmental Society (SDDS) in collaboration with Caritas India and Caritas Internationalis distributed 24 sewing machines to the 2019 flood-affected survivors in the villages of Kanwad, Kavathesar, Bastwawad and Karundawad in Kolhapur.
The floods badly affected the people whose lives and homes were shattered due to the floods. This project will provide them with a livelihood, which will help them to rebuild their lives.
